Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan aspek penting dalam setiap lingkungan kerja, terutama dalam konteks pencegahan kebakaran. K3 bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan sehat bagi seluruh pekerja, dengan meminimalisir risiko kecelakaan, termasuk kebakaran.
Mengenali potensi bahaya kebakaran dan menerapkan langkah pengendaliannya merupakan hal penting dalam K3. Penerapan K3 yang efektif dapat membantu mencegah kebakaran, melindungi pekerja dari bahaya kebakaran, dan meminimalisir kerugian finansial dan dampak lingkungan.
Kebakaran dapat dipicu oleh berbagai faktor, yang dapat dikategorikan menjadi tiga kelompok utama, yaitu (1) Bahan yang mudah terbakar, (2) Sumber panas yang kurang terjaga dan terawat, dan (3) Faktor kelalaian dan kekurangpahaman akan potensi dan prosedur keselamatan kebakaran.
Berikut langkah-langkah pengendalian bahaya kebakaran yang dapat dilakukan, antara lain :
Eliminasi, menghilangkan sumber bahaya dengan mengganti barang-barang yang mudah terbakar atau memisahkan dari sumber panas
Kontrol Teknik, memodifikasi lingkungan kerja agar lebih aman dari bahaya kebakaran. Contoh : adanya sistem ventilasi, menggunakan peralatan listrik yang dilengkapi dengan pengaman, dan memasang sistem pemadam kebakaran otomatis, seperti detektor asap, detector panas, maupun detector api
Kontrol Administratif, membuat prosedur kerja yang aman, menetapkan peraturan tentang penggunaan api dan bahan mudah terbakar, dan melakukan inspeksi rutin untuk memastikan kepatuhan terhadap prosedur keselamatan, serta memberikan pelatihan tentang pencegahan kebakaran,
Menyediakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dan alat pemadam kebakaran
Secara periodik, minimal sekali dalam satu tahun, Bapekom Surabaya, melakukan edukasi terkait penggunaan APAR dan cara-cara pencegahan kebakaran. Seperti yang dilaksanakan pada Jumat, 18 Oktober 2024 di halaman #KampusPerubahan. Kegiatan tersebut merupakan rangkaian dari Rapat Evaluasi Bulanan Tim Satuan Pengamanan dan Simulasi Penanganan Bahaya Kebakaran, yang dilaksanakan Subbagian Umum dan Tata Usaha.
Bukan hanya satuan pengamanan, tetapi seluruh pegawai wajib mengikuti sosialisasi. Ini dilakukan untuk menyegarkan kembali pengetahuan seluruh pegawai terkait potensi bahaya kebakaran sekaligus cara-cara penanganan kebakaran. Keselamatan bukan hanya tanggung jawab satuan pengamanan, tetapi tanggung jawab seluruh pegawai.
Melalui identifikasi potensi bahaya kebakaran, penerapan strategi pengendalian yang tepat, dan kesiapsiagaan dalam penanggulangan, dan dengan meningkatkan kesadaran serta kerja sama, kita dapat meminimalkan risiko kebakaran, bahkan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan bebas dari bahaya kebakaran.
